Pupil Premium

At Kippax Greenfield Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that every child can achieve, thrive and make a difference, regardless of their background. Our approach to Pupil Premium reflects our vision of 'Growing Greatness at Greenfield'.

Pupil Premium funding, provided by the Department for Education, is used to support pupils who may face additional barriers to learning. We use this funding carefully to ensure that all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged, make strong progress and achieve well.

Our approach

We focus on:

  • High-quality teaching for all pupils, ensuring lessons are inclusive, ambitious and supportive
  • Early identification and targeted support, so that barriers to learning are addressed quickly
  • Supporting wellbeing and readiness to learn, recognising the importance of pupils feeling safe, confident and ready to succeed
  • Broadening experiences, so all pupils can access enrichment opportunities and develop cultural capital
  • Working in partnership with families, strengthening engagement and support for learning

These priorities reflect our school values and our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.

How we use funding

Our Pupil Premium funding is used to:

  • Provide targeted academic support in areas such as reading, writing and mathematics
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional and mental health
  • Improve attendance and punctuality
  • Subsidise enrichment opportunities including trips, clubs and music
  • Provide additional pastoral and family support where needed

Measuring impact

We regularly review the impact of our Pupil Premium strategy to ensure it is making a difference. This includes monitoring:

  • Progress and attainment
  • Attendance and engagement
  • Wellbeing and participation in wider opportunities

We are committed to continually refining our approach so that all pupils can achieve their full potential.
