Remote Education Provision
We are committed to ensuring that all pupils can continue their learning if they are unable to attend school but are well enough to do so.

When will remote learning be provided?

Remote learning will be provided when pupils are unable to attend school but are well enough to complete work, for example:

  • During a period of suspension
  • Where attendance at school is not possible for a longer period

Remote learning is not typically provided for short-term illness. In these cases, pupils should focus on rest and recovery before returning to school.

What should my child expect?

Where remote learning is required, work will be provided as soon as possible, usually on the same day or the next school day.

Learning will be set via Google Classroom. If your child is unable to access online learning, we will provide paper-based learning packs.

If you require support accessing remote learning, please contact the school office.

How will my child access remote learning?

Pupils can access their learning through:

  • Google Classroom (using their school login)
  • Paper packs (available on request)

How much work will my child be expected to complete?

We aim to provide a structured day of learning:

  • EYFS: A range of short, practical activities
  • Key Stage 1: Approximately 3 hours per day
  • Key Stage 2: Approximately 4 hours per day

How will learning be delivered?

Remote learning may include:

  • Pre-recorded teaching videos
  • Oak National Academy or similar resources
  • Teacher-set assignments via Google Classroom
  • Practical/offline activities

How will you check engagement and provide feedback?

Teachers will:

  • Monitor work through Google Classroom or returned paper packs
  • Provide feedback where appropriate
  • Contact families if there are concerns about engagement

How will you support pupils who need additional help?

We will:

  • Adapt work for pupils with SEND
  • Provide paper packs where needed
  • Offer guidance and support to families
